News Bits
- Some great news, Anne Robertson, who co-founded North Shore Helicopter Training 15 years ago has decided to share her experience as an Instructor again. We welcome her back out on the field and is a lot better looking than some of the other guys!!
- Unfortunately John Clements has decided to hang up his headset after being in the industry for over 50 years. JC was our highly qualified Flight Examiner and will be greatly missed. We wish him all the best in the future, but I’m sure we haven’t heard or seen the last of him. Good Luck! And keep in touch.
- As we are coming into the height of summer, my advice to all students and those thinking of joining our highly qualified, experienced and professional team, is to book your flights as early as possible to avoid disappointment. I’m sure you are aware it gets really busy over this period as it gets really busy when the sun comes out.
- Student loans: No further update at this stage, TEC review is still under negotiation. Paula has kept a list of all enquires and as soon as we hear anything, we will let you know.
- The demand in the commercial industry for pilots and engineers worldwide continues abated. There has truely never been a time in recent memory where the demand for pilots of all experience levels seems to be inexhaustable. With fleets growing expotentially, the industry is struggling to keep hold of good people who are now going where the opportunities are the greatest. This transience, opens up sought after positions for all and there has never been a better time to really achieve that dream job. Give us a call if you want to find out more.
Pilots night
We haven't had a pilot’s night for a while, so Paula organised an appropriate evening on 17th Oct. It was good to see so many new faces. Our aim has always been to keep it as informal as possible for students and pilots to mingle, share stories and the beer definitely helps.
Carey Jarvis talked about his experiences in Alaska and on some engineering issues which was all very interesting. He mentioned some very important Robinson safety procedures to keep an eye on and Neil Clarke gave us an update on low insurance rate policies for pilots, regardless of experience in the aviation industry. if you require more information please get in touch with us and we will pass on your details.
Helicopter Syndication
At last we’ve decide the time is right to syndicate one of our helicopters HWA. This creates an inexpensive way to own a helicopter to obtain your licence or to use privately by buying a share in this well maintained aircraft. Sold in share parcels, the helicopter syndicate allows you to train at a reduced price plus benefits of unlimited access to hire the machine to go off and discover fabulous NZ from the air.
Never too late to start…
Don’t forget we have 4 different types of introductory flights for you to choose from to either get you or that someone special flying. Also as summer approaches we can fly you and some mates to stroke a tiger or three .We can tailor make any surprise for that someone special, so give us a call and explore all the wonderful opportunities!
All of us here look forward to seeing you over the coming months and relish the opportunity for you to come and make all your dreams come true!!!!
